Site SJ1: San Jose Creek
at Hollister Avenue

From Hollister Avenue, turn toward the ocean on Kellogg. Quickly turn left into the shopping center and parking lot for Sizzler. Continue straight through the parking lot, and across a bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn right and go to the end of the driveway and park near the chain-link fence. Hop over (or crawl under) the fence and down the ladder into the concrete channel: this is San Jose Creek. During the dry season this creek often has very low flow and cannot be sampled.
