Site 13: Matilija

The site is located approximately 1 kilometer downstream of the Matilija Dam, near an out-of-use USGS flood gauging station. Access is down a short trail. Vegetation is mostly natural at this site. The creek flows over boulders and forms pools and riffles, which provides excellent habitat for the endangered Steelhead trout. Flow is difficult to measure here due to the deep plunge pools.
