Ongoing Ventura Stream Team: First Saturday of the Month (check calendar)
What: Come help us collect water quality data at 15 sites in the Ventura River watershed.
When: Saturday at 9:00 a.m. The outing will last approximately 3-4 hours.
Where: Meet at the Ventura Surfrider office at 239 W. Main St. in Ventura (near Patagonia). From there we will travel by car to our sites.
Other Details: Please be prepared to get your feet wet! Pizza and sodas will be provided afterwards. Visit www.stream-team.org for more information about Stream Team!

Goleta Stream Team: First Sunday of the Month (check calendar)
What: Come help us collect water quality data at 13 sites in the Goleta Slough watershed.
When: Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The outing will last approximately 2-3 hours.
Where: Meet at the K-Mart parking lot on the corner of Hollister and Storke Rd. (Look for us in the area of the parking lot in front of the K-mart garden center.) From there we will travel by car to our sites.

Ongoing Stream Walk and Stream Team reports and video update: We are very excited to announce that our Stream Team video and our Goleta Stream Team, Ventura Stream Team, Goleta Stream Walk, and Ventura Stream Walk reports are nearing completion and will be available on the stream team website (www.stream-team.org) in the coming months. Please check back regularly for updates, as we will be posting all of these individually as they are completed.
The Ventura Stream Team report, funded by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, covers our first five years of data collection, from January 2001 through October 2005. The Goleta Stream Team report, funded by UCSB’s Shoreline Preservation Fund, covers our first three years of data collection, from June 2002 through June 2005. The Ventura Stream Walk report, funded by the USEPA as well, covers the first stage of our project on San Antonio Creek in Ojai, and the Goleta Stream Walk report, funded by the Southern California Wetlands Recovery Project, includes complete coverage of San Jose and Maria Ygnacio creeks in Goleta. The Stream Team video, produced by Pacific Pro TV, will serve as an outreach and training video and we hope to show it on local television stations as well as in training sessions and on our website.
